JGN Farms Ltd is a large, progressive mixed farming operation that prides itself on its commitment to agriculture. Our family-run businesses encompass cash cropping, poultry production, and a grain elevator, along with bean processing plant.

**Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise daily production operations to meet output, quality and safety standards
- Lead and motivate a team of production workers through effective communication, coaching and performance feedback
- Coordinate production schedules and workflows to ensure timely delivery of product
- Monitor and maintain food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with regulatory and company policies while enforcing compliance
- Perform and assist with minor machinery repairs and troubleshooting to reduce downtime
- Work closely with maintenance and quality assurance teams to resolve production issues
- Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, and equipment maintenance
- Adapt to changing priorities and unexpected issues that arise during production shifts
- Problem solve on the fly any scenarios that may arise

**Requirements**:

- Supervisory experience in a food-grade or manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with machinery operations and basic mechanical repairs
- Leadership skills with a collaborative approach
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- High attention to detail, especially in maintaining quality and safety standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Physically capable of standing, walking and performing tasks in a production environment for extended periods
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management is beneficial.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery safely and effectively
- Experience with hand tools and power tools is required
- Agricultural or farming background or knowledge is an asset

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Wingham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- Supervising: 1 year (required)
