**We are currently seeking a self-motivated Production Planning / Scheduling Clerk to fill a position based in our Mississauga, Ontario location. **This position is a full-time role and hours of work will be 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday.**

The Company

The Global Drilling Services division operates for a diverse mining customer base spanning a wide range of commodities, including copper, gold, nickel, zinc, uranium and other metals and minerals. The Global Products division designs, manufactures and sells drilling equipment, performance tooling, down-hole instrumentation and parts and services.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

- Responsibility for the production planning of multiple work centers
- Ensuring that customer orders and demands are fulfilled on time.
- Daily review and running of MRP. Min/Max planning to release work orders and purchase orders.
- Daily physical review/count of on hand quantities of material
- Maintenance of the production schedule which are planned to the day.
- Following up with vendors to ensure purchase ordered parts and quantities meet promise dates and terms.
- Monthly review of inventory consumption and usage to align and revise min/max inventory levels to maintain optimal inventory quantities.
- Working with stockroom personnel to prepare and schedule raw material inventory and staging activities at production work centers.
- Working with production supervisors to ensure that manufacturing work centers are following production schedule requirements and that work orders and jobs are completed within expected timeframes.
- Assist with the RMA process in conjunction with the quality control department.
- Weekly, monthly and yearly reporting using Business Intelligence software to improve both customer and production delivery and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Liaise directly with Vendors to improve lead times and raw material product delivery.
- Develop lean solutions to improve internal processes and customer delivery - continuous improvement (Kaizan)
- Prior experience with Oracle and use of ERP modules such as MRP, purchasing, job scheduling and inventory management will be considered an asset.
- Prior technical experience and use of Microsoft Excel is required.
- Experience working within a unionized environment would be considered an asset

Required Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience:

- 3+ years of directly related experience
- Experience in warehousing, supply chain, logistics or similar.
- Good computer literacy, strong Excel proficiency and strong data entry skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
- High attention to detail

Reporting Relationship

The position reports directly to the Materials Supervisor in Mississauga, Ontario.
