Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Manager, International Sales position at our Bedford location. This role is responsible for executing the oat milling and food & ingredients sales strategy for global markets. This position plays a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with existing international customers while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across the portfolio of food ingredients within the assigned regions.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new oat milling business opportunities, including potential customers, partnerships, and distribution channels.
- Identify and secure new ingredients business opportunities across all product lines in oat milling and malting.
- Act as primary contact for major accounts, maintain strong relationships, address needs, resolve issues to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to upsell and cross-sell oat milling and malt ingredients products.
- Assist in development and implementation of the sales strategy to the assigned markets, aiming to achieve budgeted sales and growth targets.
- Track and analyse sales performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions within the assigned markets.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management, provide insights and recommendations specific to the assigned markets.
- Liaise with customers and product innovation team on new product development. Develop proposals and presentations tailored to the assigned markets.
Experience & Education/Training:
- Degree in business, marketing, food science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years progressive sales and account management experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience in the food processing industry and commodity markets specific to the assigned market.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service, capable of developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve targets and drive revenue growth. High-level business acumen, with the ability to understand and navigate complex business environments.
- Demonstrated fluency in English and additional languages (European, Asian, and African-based languages preferred) to effectively communicate and engage with a diverse client base.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Valid passport with the ability to travel within the UK, EU and assigned international markets.
