**Inovata Foods Edmonton is growing and is looking to add another member to the maintenance team.**

**Details.**

This position will join the maintenance team as a **Maintenance, Repair and Operations Buyer (MRO**).**

**Benefits**:

- Overtime will be earned after 80 hours in the pay period (or 40 hours each week)
- Hourly incentive plan of an addition 0-$1.50 per hour

**Position Purpose.**

This position is responsible to ensure that the maintenance, repair, and operations of the company has the appropriate inventory of parts, supplies and materials to efficiently address all maintenance requests while maintaining a balance of quality and cost effectiveness. The position will be responsible for MRO Buyer duties, which consist of the preparation and issuance of purchase orders, managing accuracy and organization of inventory, liaison with accounting department to process invoices, manage receiving and assisting with data entry related to work orders and other administrative duties required by the department manager.

**Duties and Responsibilities.**
- Process requisitions from maintenance for required materials, consumable, parts, and equipment
- Procure the above items from approved vendors and to a standard/quality required
- Prepare requisitions and purchase orders.
- Sources best possible pricing and seeks competitive bids for service and price agreements.
- Maintain records
- Facilitates the removal of all waste
- Keeps the stock room organized, maintains stock levels and explores improvements for inventory control
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements.**
- Apprenticeship or Journeyperson certification as a parts technician **is an asset**:

- Experience within a manufacturing environment or transferable skills from a similar industry is considered** an asset**:

- 2-3 years experience in a similar role
- Experience with spreadsheets, databases, and general computer literacy
- Possess an internal customer focus and the ability to work collaboratively with people
- Knowledge of accounts payable
- Highly professional and reliable
- Follow all company food safety programs including GMP's to produce the highest quality product for our customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Other Key Considerations.**

Mechanical and Electrical knowledge, with the ability to understand day to day maintenance department needs and order parts in a timely way, from suitably approved vendors, at a reasonable cost and provide support to the planned preventative process and general repairs/maintenance.
