Medical Office Admin/receptionist

Chinook Cardiology, located in Lethbridge, Alberta, is a rapidly growing cardiology clinic and cardiac diagnostic facility. We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Office Reception/Admin person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, booking and confirming appointments, front reception/checking patients in and out for appointments, organizing, scheduling, filing, answering and directing phone calls, collecting patient information, interacting with and assisting patients and providing administrative support for operations, medical staff and physicians. This position is ideal for those pursuing a challenging and rewarding career in the medical field. *NO PHONE CALLS OR IN PERSON DROP INS PLEASE*
**Position Accountabilities**
- Ability to adapt and work within a fast-paced environment, capable of prioritizing and completing many assignments and tasks
- Impeccable attention to detail when confirming patients’ demographics and referring physician information
- Interaction with patients, scheduling and confirming appointments
- Excellent communication skills with coworkers, patients, referring offices and physicians
- Understanding and adherence to all applicable privacy and confidentiality laws and regulations
**Position Requirements**
- Medical terminology or equivalent experience is an asset
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in Healthcare;
- CPR/BLS, and Workplace Safety, an asset:
- Advanced computer skills, previous knowledge & use of EMR program would be an asset;
- Superior attention to detail; ensuring accuracy is met when recording information;
- Ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently;
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills and work ethic;
- Willingness to learn, excel and achieve personal goals.
