Quality Control Technician

Job Functions, Duties and Tasks:
1.Perform daily pre-op/GMP inspection at production floor

2.Coordinate closely with the shift receiver and ensure incoming raw product is in good condition and possess characteristic of fresh safe raw materials.

3.Inspect the effectiveness of production sanitation procedures

4.Inspect product coolers daily and ensure that proper storage procedures are being followed

5.Perform monthly facility/premise inspection and conduct reports

6.Verifies production work orders as well as performing production checks such as product temperature, weight, sensory, and texture, CCP, etc.

7.Conduct production device verification as needed such as weight detector, platform scale, metal detector etc.

8.Write food safety monthly meeting minutes

9.Maintain accurate records and data input for production inventory control log

10.Ensure good traceability of all production related records including raw materials, package materials and other ingredients.

11.Performs microbiology tests and monitors plant sanitation checks (equipment swab, environmental / air sampling, etc.)

12.Analyze sanitation solutions from different dispensing stations and recommend corrective action when necessary

13.Conduct training overview of plant HACCP, GMP and food safety practices to new personnel; Review as necessary to production personnel who are in violation of QMP guidelines and food safety protocols.

14.Perform the shelf-life study for the new projects.

15.Participate in new product implementation and support in product trials

16.Performs other duties or projects as assigned by QA Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Food Science degree, Food Technology Diploma or related discipline

HACCP/BRC/GFSI/CFIA and FDA knowledge is an asset

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Mandarin is an asset.

Pay: $42,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
