Our new Sunwood location in Coquitlam, BC will be featuring an expansive and innovative restaurant department and we’re looking for a Chef de Partie who is passionate about food and service to join our team Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will oversee a key area of our restaurant within the hot, cold and service areas.
Must have open availability and available to work 40 hours per week.
You will be responsible for:
- Overseeing a key area of the restaurant within the hot, cold and service areas
- Achieving operational standards for the department in areas such as cleanliness, food safety, shrink, scheduling, and health & safety
- Managing product ordering and inventory control to attain established service levels
- Leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members.
- Fostering a positive environment that is focused on always customer first service.
- Supporting the management team with team member relations.
- Using knowledge of the community, competitive environment and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business
- Taking count of the correct amount of stock during monthly inventory
You have:
- 1-2 years of culinary experience working in a kitchen or restaurant
- Experience leading a team
- Food Safe Certificate
- Passion for great food and outstanding service
- Strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude
- Retail, customer service experience considered an asset
