While this outline attempts to be all encompassing, this position will evolve beyond these categories. This role is expected to anticipate business needs and to do anything that will help Westwood Plateau Golf accomplish its department objectives.
**Line Cook**
- Maintain and provide opinions on recipe book.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety for the kitchen.
- Monitor condition of food in storage to prevent spoilage and contamination.
- Sweep floor and take out garbage as needed.
- Produce foods with correct taste, temperature and correct visual appeal and be prepared to train team members on new items.
- Occasional BBQ preparation and grilling for the patio.
- Identify, clean and uses all kitchen equipment correctly and safely.
- Report equipment malfunctions to Chef de Cuisine and/or Sous Chef.
- Communicates effectively with your teammates to coordinate precise timing.
**Prep**
- Prepare stock and sauces following the recipe book.
- Ensure all kitchen checklists are maintained such as logging fridge temperatures.
- Help to put food deliveries away in proper places and proper rotation.
- Learn to anticipate kitchen needs such as defrosting and ordering before running out.
- Have basic knife skills.
- Ensure products are covered, labelled and stored correctly.
**Qualifications**:
- Food Safe Level 1.
- Minimum one year experience in a line cook position.
Wage will depend on the experience of the applicant.

Part-time hours: 35 per week
**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
