We're looking for a Support Associate to join our Support team in North America. This is a permanent full-time position. As a Support Associate, you will be reaching out to our new customers to help them set up their hardware (remotely), as well as providing technical assistance for our Point of Sale Software. This position is for a computer user with a background in customer service.

**What you'll be doing**:

- The primary role of a Support Associate is to help the customer go live by assisting them with their initial hardware setup and general questions through scheduled appointments.
- You will be one of the first support contacts for new customers and thus offering friendly exceptional customer service and technical assistance will set the tone of customer experience
- Properly document and track customer issues and resolutions

**And a little bit of....**:

- Support associates also assist in special, short term projects that help our other support and customer service departments on an occasional basis
- Follow escalation procedures as required
- Liaise with team leaders to best handle day to day situations to improve customer experiences
- Submitting and assisting with the return of defective and problematic hardware
- Contributing as part of the wider team to achieve organizational objectives even if this means doing things that aren't strictly within the scope of your role.

**What you need to bring**:
We're a team of 6 people located in Canada. Our team is responsible for enabling Lightspeed's customers to process transactions and better their communities.
- Experience in a customer service role
- Computer skills with working knowledge of Mac OS X, Windows and IOS
- Proven experience in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with Point of Sales Systems is a plus
- Computer hardware experience is a plus
- Retail experience is a plus
- Available Monday and Friday 40 hours/week
