RHEA Canada is looking for physical security technicians Canada-wide, to support work on client premises across the country. The role may require some travel.

We have one position currently open, located in **Drumheller, AB. **Relocation support _will not_ be provided for this opportunity.

**About the client and location**

Working as part of the RHEA Canada team, you will be working alongside client staff in a high-security environment. As such, a Government of Canada security clearance will be required.

You'll be working as part of a two-person team, with a larger team spread across the country. There is significant support from the Regional Supervisor and Regional Specialist (both based in Edmonton), as well as from our corporate office. Junior technicians are welcome to apply, and will be given the space for on-the-job learning.

Your normal workday will be a Monday-Friday, daytime (8 hours between 8am and 5pm) shift, with rotating on-call responsibilities, overtime opportunities, and call-out response expectations.

**Tasks and Activities**

The scope of work will include:

- Maintaining technical security systems involving multiple technologies such as (but not limited to) digital video surveillance systems, control center alarms, radio systems, etc.
- Working in a high-security environment.
- Working at heights and in confined spaces is a significant part of the job description.
- Liaising with on-site client staff.
- Monitoring work package activities and reporting to management, as required.
- Developing educational material, technical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Teaching client staff about new technologies.

**Skills and Experience**

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field _or _equivalent experience (5+ years).
- Must qualify for a Government of Canada security clearance at the Reliability level.

**Asset qualifications**

The following are a big bonus:

- Relevant occupational health and safety training (CSA, Fall Arrest, Aerial Lift Platforms, etc.)

Pay: $25.00-$28.50 per hour
