**REQUIREMENTS OF AN ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE/GROUNDSKEEPER PERSON**:

- Must be available to work a 5-day week with occasional overtime

- Enjoy working with other team members and guests while promoting a positive, professional attitude with all.
- Enjoy performing physical work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and weather conditions.
- Possess or have the willingness to obtain training such as Workplace Health & Safety Awareness and WHMIS.
- Ensure the resort and its facilities are kept safe, clean and in good operating condition by performing general maintenance and minor repairs to buildings, grounds and equipment as required.
- Must be comfortable using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written communications with mínimal supervision.
- Have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Have a G1 driver's license and meet insurance requirements.
- Proof of two (2) Covid-19 Vaccines.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Watering and caring for plants and lawns, continuously monitoring beach and accommodation areas for cleanliness as well as safety concerns, removal of trash and recycling from bines and other receptacles daily.
- Painting, staining, minor repairs, and other related functions that promote a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for our guests and visitors.
- Racking/blowing leaves, removal of branches and twigs as well as any other assorted debris from the property.
- Assist with seasonal preparations of resort amenities such as swimming pool, hot tub, canoes, boats, waterfront toys and patio furniture.
- Assist other team members with repairs and/or periodic maintenance in their areas.

**About Patterson Kaye Resort**:
Our resort is in the heart of cottage country, Muskoka, Ontario. We offer relaxed cottage rentals from 2-12 person occupancy, a wide variety of 24 units, studios to fully equipped cottages. Our restaurant on site is kept busy year round with a variety of events and celebrations from weddings to business meetings. As well as a variety of seasonal amenities and activities.We are looking to employ multiple full and part time positions year round and can cross train if you are interested in multiple departments. We are also willing to fully train persons interested in entering the hospitality industry who have an enthusiastic, hard working personality and work well in a team.
