**About us**
At South Etobicoke Animal Hospital, we recognize that your pet is a significant part of your family unit. Our team has been offering pet patients in Etobicoke an exceptional level of medical and surgical services for nearly a decade.

Are you looking to build off your customer service experience? Do you like working with animals and pets? Consider our position for a full/part-time veterinary receptionist in our small veterinary practice in west-end Toronto (Etobicoke).

Veterinary clinics are very fast-paced with a rotation of duties and with animals present. Staff must follow protocols and instructions exactly and be able to work under pressure. Staff must be comfortable working with animals.

**EXPERIENCE**
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in MacOS and Microsoft Windows.
- Minimum 1-year experience in the veterinary field (preferred).

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Reception**:Work with clients, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, check inventory, do data entry, register new clients and do paperwork, sell products/do retail, bill clients, provide excellent customer service, lift heavy objects, and do other administrative duties as required.

**Cleaning**:Sterilize and maintain clean spaces (e.g. sterilize exam rooms, vacuum/ mop floors, do laundry, and do other cleaning duties as required.)

You will be required to do additional duties as required.

Note: in this work environment, you will:

- Be exposed to and work with animals, which includes their animal dander and fluids;
- Lift heavy boxes and cases;
- Restrain animals of varying sizes; and
- Work in a fast-paced environment with many competing duties.

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
