Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Orillia is a newly opened hotel located in the west end of Orillia. We offer 92 well-appointed rooms, a small meeting space, a fitness room, and an indoor pool, all designed to provide our guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
**Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated Guest Service Agent to join our team at Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Orillia. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service and support throughout their stay. Your contributions will be vital in creating memorable experiences for our visitors.
**Responsibilities**
- Organize and maintain Front Office records and equipment in accordance with hotel policy and control the inventory of Front Office supplies/forms
- Work in a team with all levels of management and associates.
- Participate in the Manager on duty program, working regular shifts at the front desk
- Maximize total hotel revenues including but not limited to occupancy at the optimum rate to increase RevPar on a daily basis.
- Assist with recruitment, training, supervision and discipline of Front Desk, Reservation and Guest Services staff members.
- Motivate personnel.
- Re-arrange work schedule as required in case of any absence.
- Check groups, conferences and visitors and make copies of rooming lists
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the office area as well as undertaking property checks.
- Establish and consistently enforce Hotel/Resort rules and regulations.
- Support the company policy and management decisions, interpreting and disseminating such information to staff members.
- Keep till balanced and stocked accordingly.
- Management of online inventories.
- Assist Sales and Marketing as required.
- Check no shows, process if required.
- Other duties as required
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 2 years experience in Front Office Management or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Organized, results orientated, proven time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Effective communication skills.
- Understanding the hotels Safety and Security standards while ensuring a safe work environment
- Well-developed knowledge of Front Office operations,
- Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office and experience with Hotel Property Management Systems.
- Proven performance management and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to make decisions with only general policies and procedures available for guidance
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
