**Job Summary**

The Workshop’s role is to deliver a high-quality product on schedule to the appropriate Manufacturing Department. It ensures that production is carried out in the most cost-effective way while upholding the company’s high standards. This position collaborates closely with Senior Management and Department Coordinators.

**Responsibilities**:
Oversee and manage the workshop staff to ensure efficient performance.
- Ensure the safe and efficient daily operations of the department.
- Organize and prioritize the daily workload based on project timelines and upcoming process requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise, providing effective solutions.
- Plan for optimal utilization of workshop materials in alignment with Planners Guidelines.
- Conduct thorough inspections of materials before they leave the department, ensuring they meet company quality standards.
- Requisition required materials through the Purchasing department as needed.
- Establish and maintain mid/max inventory levels to ensure consistent stock availability.
- Perform weekly inventory checks on shop supplies and restock to maintain appropriate min/max levels.
- Maintain and properly care for the tools and equipment used in the workshop, including regular cleaning.
- Ensure the work area is thoroughly cleaned and free of debris once a project is completed.
- Requisition out-of-shop supplies through Purchasing as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Main Duties and responsibilities**

Planning and monitoring work within the workshop - 25%

Undertaking manufacturing and assembly jobs - 30%

Managing stock levels - 10%

Report on workload, participating in project planning - 10%

General administration for personnel and record keeping - 15%

Quality Control - 10%

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must have the necessary skills to complete all essential duties under the direction of the Management or, in some cases without supervision.

**Skills/ Knowledge**:

- Ability to build from drawings or Specs with mínimal supervision.
- Follow a daily production schedule.
- Determine materials required based on drawings.
- Good knowledge of safe operation of woodworking machinery
- Operate trade tools, machines and other workshop equipment.
- Assemble parts and components to create a finished product or parts for forwarding department.
- Experience in manufacturing and assembly
- Detailed oriented
- Occasional heavy lifting required.
- Problem Solving.
- Quality control
- Interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
- Computer skills, Excel, Word, Outlook.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
