**Responsibilities**:
**Health & Safety**:

- Promote a Health and Safety culture within the business.
- Produce documentation for H&S codes of practice, adhering to legislation and company policies.
- Conduct Risk Assessments and liaise with the building’s Facilities Management as needed.
- Lead housekeeping initiatives and activities in the workshop.

**Workflow**:

- Responsible for job allocation and job flow in the workshop, including job scheduling and labor allocation for day-to-day operations.
- Coordinate resources (operational and human), schedules, and activities to effectively manage jobs.
- Ensure parts supplies are ordered for each job.
- Assist with quoting, project management, materials purchasing, and quality checks. Provide oversight and check job estimates.

**Communication and Customer Relationship**:

- Regularly report progress on each job and quickly communicate delays or concerns with customers and other stakeholders.
- Report on manpower overruns or shortfalls.
- Act as a technical adviser on key projects and other areas of the business as requested.
- Work with management to respond to clients’ requests for updates on the status of their jobs.
- Keep the communication channels open to ensure information is accurate.
- Receive and review feedback from customers and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work with management to investigate customer complaints and concerns arising from products.
- Suggest appropriate solutions and discuss with the team to identify the appropriate course of action.

**Resource Management**:

- Develop and implement systems to record, file, and store information pertaining to client inquiries.
- Manage apprentices by participating in the Liebherr Canada Apprenticeship program.
- Actively manage labor requirements for short-term and long-term needs by assisting management with forecasting.

**Competencies**:

- 3+ years acting as a Service Manager or Supervisor within a crane shop (other heavy equipment experience will be considered).
- Heavy Equipment Technician certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide others.
- Clear and effective communication abilities.
