Warehouse Supervisor

We have an immediate opening for a full-time, experienced Warehouse Supervisor in our Langley warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include accurate and efficient inbound receiving and storage, picking, packing, and assembling of parcel and palletized orders. You will also handle administrative tasks including documentation of warehouse best practices and reporting KPIs to our management team.
More specifically, your daily duties will include but are not limited to:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure efficient and accurate receiving, storage, and shipping of products
- Regular unloading of floor loaded and palletized product from sea containers
- Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to improve efficiency and safety
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods
- Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities
- Assisting with inventory counts as required
- Working safely and abiding by OH&S standards/requirements
- Supporting the Operations team in other areas during absences
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Physically fit - ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy including mathematical aptitude
- Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities on a daily basis
- Analytical abilities, with the capability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and work within tight deadlines
- Results driven team player who will foster a positive team environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in a pick/pack warehouse environment
- Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or similar role
- Experience driving counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks as well as a general understanding of maintenance required for this equipment
- Excellent communication skills including both written and spoken English
- Proficiency of MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience using SAP or other ERP systems
