**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Supervisor of Operations, the Family Resource Centre Courier will provide delivery
services to seven family resource centres throughout the city of Winnipeg. The Courier functions as part
of a team with Family and Community Development Coordinators to assure that deliveries occur on time
and in accordance with delivery schedules. The responsibilities of this position include pick up and drop off points in various areas of the city that include but are not limited to; Winnipeg Harvest, the Food Rescue Charities, grocery pickups and more.

**Duties**
- Communicate with Family and Community Development Coordinators about various pickup and
drop off orders and donations as needed throughout the week.
- Pick up scheduled orders and donations throughout the city of Winnipeg and deliver them to
Family Dynamics seven Family Resource Centres.
- Ensure the consistent and proactive flow of deliveries from various donors, businesses, and
agency partners, including facilitating the delivery and distribution to Family Resource Centres.
- Assure deliveries are made on time and assist in bringing delivered items into drop off locations.
- Gather and submit appropriate paperwork related to pickups and deliveries.
- Support positive relationships with donors, businesses, and agency partners.
- Other duties as related to the position and as reasonably assigned by the supervisor, or as circumstances
dictate, all within the context of Family Dynamics’ Mission, Vision, and Guiding Principles.

**Education**
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- Food Handlers Certificate is desired

**Experience**
- A minimum of 1 year experience as a delivery driver.
- Experience working with non-profit organizations is an asset.
- Experience working with marginalized, vulnerable populations is an asset.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Required to have a valid class 5F Manitoba driver’s license.
- Drivers abstract is preferred
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs
- Organizational and time management skills, including ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Knowledgeable about our city routes and ability to accurately follow direction.
- Available to work flexible shifts throughout the week
- Professional presence, with a positive attitude and an understanding of non-profit organizations.
- Knowledge of food-security and poverty issues
- Ability to thank donors for their contributions, explain how they help our organization
- Engage in safe work practices, including experience working with food safety guidelines.
- Computer skills using google; mail, forms, docs and sheets

**Physical requirements**
- Required to have a valid class 5F Manitoba driver’s license.
- Must own a reliable vehicle, large enough for big orders (Van is preferred)-Mileage and insurance rates are paid as per collective agreement.
- Drivers abstract is preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs
