**The Opportunity**

Payroll & Benefits Specialist O2E Brands is looking for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our growing team As part of the Total Rewards team, you will be responsible for the critical function of preparing and processing payroll and benefits for our team members with the highest degree of diligence and customer service.

For this role’s duty and responsibility we anticipate that you will be in the office 25% of time.

**A Day In The Life**
- Prepare and process full cycle semi-monthly Canadian & US payroll for hourly and salaried team members, including off-cycle, irregular, final pays and records of employment
- Execute year-end tasks including T4 and W2 preparation, benefits updates, and other compliance and reporting requirements
- Participate in payroll & benefits process improvements and initiatives
- Administer group benefits plan and reconciliations, including enrollments, changes, terminations and year-end
- Prepare detailed payroll, tax and benefits reports for internal and external stakeholders and audits
- Prepare journal entries and other month/year end reports
- Participate in payroll tax and accounting reconciliation tasks
- Resolve team members’ payroll and benefits inquiries
- Prepare government remittances and maintain accounts including Canada Revenue Agency, Workers’ Compensation and Employer Health Tax
- Maintain accurate data in HRIS/Payroll/benefits systems and personnel files
- Coordinate the payroll & benefits aspect of leaves including medical and maternity/parental, including top-up calculations and employee communications
- Ensure the company remains fully compliant with all payroll regulations and employment standards by actively following and incorporating payroll legislation changes
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams including People Operations, Finance, People Business Partners, and Workforce Management

**What You Bring To The Table**
- 1-2 years of payroll experience
- Hands on experience as an administrator of HR software (HRIS)
- Demonstrated strong Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups and ability to work with data from multiple sources
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience in benefits administration
- Knowledge of federal and provincial payroll legislation and employment standards
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification (in progress or completed)
- Accounting knowledge is an asset
- Experience with Google Suite is an asset
- Strong customer service focus

**Compensation And Benefits**
- Salary $53,00-67,000k per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
