*Overview*

*Duties*
- Maintain and update employee information, such as records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements.
- Prepare and verify statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, garnishments and insurance and pension plans
- Prepare, verify and process all employee payroll related payments, including regular pay, benefit payments, and special payments such as bonuses and vacation pay.
- Complete, verify and process forms and documentation for administration of benefits such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment and medical insurance
- Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements, pension, Records of Employment, Deductions, payroll tax and processing of the T4’s / T5’s.
- Preparing and processing all companies GST & PST on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Ensure current legislative and company compliance.
- Data entry of all timesheets into accounting system.

*Qualifications*
- Knowledge and background in Payroll Administration (3-5 yrs), Microsoft Office, Excel and is required.
- Must be able to process large numbers of documents with speed, accuracy and attention to detail in order to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent problem solving/judgement /analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and to function effectively as a team member.
- Ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to have sensitive conversations.
