**Social Media & Promotions Manager**

**About Pongo**

Pongo is a family-run Canadian pet store serving the Greater Edmonton Area with a focus on **free same-day local delivery**, wide ranges of products, and an excellent user experience.
We’re a small team of three that believes shopping for your pet should be fast, easy, and full of care.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan and execute 3-5 social media posts per week across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Design and schedule a mix of static and video content (product features, behind-the-scenes, promotions, community posts).
- Research trends, hashtags, and best practices to optimize for engagement, virality, and sales growth.
- Track and report on key performance metrics (engagement rate, reach, conversions, etc.) and develop strategies for ongoing improvement.
- Collaborate with the team on content ideas, photoshoots, and creative campaigns.

**Promotions & Events**
- Plan and execute promotions and contests — both online and in-person.
- Coordinate product promotions and help highlight seasonal or supplier-based sales.
- Represent Pongo at community events (e.g., dog parks, adoption fairs, markets) with a friendly, outgoing, and sales-focused attitude.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local pet owners and partners to grow Pongo’s community presence.

**What We’re Looking For**
- A creative thinker with strong social media and communication skills.
- Confident in front of a camera and comfortable engaging with customers in-person.
- Organized, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of social media analytics and performance tools (e.g., Meta Insights, TikTok Analytics, etc.).
- Some design skills (Canva, CapCut, or similar tools) are a plus.
- Marketing, Communications, or Business education preferred — but not required.
- Must be based in Edmonton, AB or nearby areas (for in-person collaboration).

**Schedule & Work Environment**
- Flexible role: Approximately 10 - 20 hours per week, depending on workload.
- Must be available to work in-office 2 days/week for strategy sessions, filming, or content planning.
- Remaining work can be completed remotely.
- Occasional weekend availability for in-person events or promotions.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $1,250.00 per month

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
