We take pride in both our team and ability to serve our customers with the utmost professionalism and personability. **Responsibilities**: - Align product planning in accordance with the company's overall strategy. - Consistently research market and be a resource of knowledge to provide information on foreseeable industry trends. - Identify market threats, weaknesses, and opportunities. - Manage the entire product lifecycle. (Owner of lifecycle: from creating the product to the obsolescence). - Partner and work with suppliers and customers for the development of new products. - Create new products or services and coordinate the launch action plan involving the different departments (supply chain, marketing, sales, operations, product development, etc.). - Manage the performance of the decorative hardware category & Aluminum products and related profit including sales growth and seasonal promotions. - Evaluate post product launch, including product performance analysis, performance testing, recommendations, and product change implementation. - Partner with Inventory Control Management to manage the product life cycle. - Advice purchasing team when required to reduce the purchasing of a specific item. - Define product specifications and collaborate with the Marketing team to launch new products and provide recommendations on Marketing techniques based on industry trends. - Provide training to Product Specialist on new products or services and provide all necessary product specifications for Product Specialist to develop training program. - Assist Product Specialist with any technical requests, and sales team assistance. **Requirements**: - Bachelor’s in business administration, Marketing or Product Management. - Have 5 + years of experience in the field of product management or product categories. - Knowledge of the industry (kitchen and bath market). - Experience in the management of "technical" products (Decorative hardware & aluminum profile products**)**: - Thorough understanding of product lifecycle (product processing and finishing). - Excellent communication skills. - Excellent analytical skills. - Ability to multitask and manage priorities. - Experience negotiating with external partners (suppliers, subcontractors). - Ability to motivate and convince internally (sales force, inter-departmental coordination). - Keep an open line of communication with the field employees - Ready to travel. - Technical Skills: Basic software (excel, word, PowerPoint). - Familiar with ERP system or similar. - Knowledge and use of CAD software is an asset.
