Under the direction of a Registered Dietitian, the incumbent will conduct patient screening, meal rounds/visitations, nutritional follow-up and diet instruction. Documentation is maintained in the patient medical record and nutrition software.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completion of the Food Service Supervisor Certificate Program or University degree in Human Nutrition required.
- Member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management required.
- Minimum of one year experience as a Clinical Nutrition Assistant working extensively with a broad range of therapeutic diets in an acute hospital setting within the last two (2) years required.
- Experience with patient interviewing and screening of medical records including documentation in an acute hospital setting within the last two (2) years required.
- Experience with data entry using a nutrition software program within the last two (2) years required.
- Participation in continuing education opportunities to enhance related professional knowledge is required.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision making skills.
- Self-directed, flexible and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision in a multi-disciplinary team setting.
- Supportive of departmental goals and objectives.
- Demonstration of initiative to promote total quality improvement.
- Consistent and regular attendance required.
- Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
