Reporting to the Supervisor, Student Engagement, this position will work closely with students and staff to coordinate the development, promotion, and delivery of NAIT’s institution-wide peer mentorship program, as well as supports additional student engagement and onboarding activities. This position conducts on-going assessments of the program, implementing best practices and maintaining a high standard of excellence in mentoring and support services while providing a meaningful community engagement opportunity.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee participant recruitment, orientation, training, and performance assessment, monitoring results and problem-solving to meet students’ needs and ensure the achievement of program and learning outcomes.
- Provides ongoing communication, support, guidance, and coaching to program participants.
- Leads the planning and coordination of training, program events and promotions.
- Develops and implements volunteer recognition and appreciation activities.
- Analyzes program evaluation data and makes recommendations to the Supervisor for program developments and future events.
- Oversee the coordination and maintenance of the program’s social media promotions.
- Oversee record-keeping and integrity of relevant program data.
- Assists with the planning and implementation of additional student engagement and onboarding activities.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Ability to supervise student volunteers with coaching and mentoring philosophy.
- Experience developing and delivering training materials.
- Experience planning events and program promotions.
- Excellent oral, verbal, and written communication including formal presentations.
- Proven ability to be a team player with demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Relationship-building skills with students, staff, and colleagues and the ability to gain confidence and cooperation of all stakeholders.
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, including researching best practices.
- Familiarity with office software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) and the ability to learn new software systems. Experience with Brightspace would be an asset.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Communications, Education, Business).
- 3-5 years’ professional experience.
- Experience working in student affairs and student development would be considered an asset.
- Equivalencies may be considered.

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

**Remuneration**: $61,997.52 - $83,085.08 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Coordinator I)
- This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement._
