Through the Construction Education Council, MCAC offers first-class and acclaimed training programs to enhance career and skill development designed specifically for the construction industry.

**About the Job**

Lead. Empower. Shape the Future.

We are looking for an experienced, mission-driven Program Manager to lead and expand three cornerstone initiatives of our organization: the Continuing Education Programs, the Student Chapter Program, and the Women in Contracting Program. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, interest-holder engagement, and program execution—and is ready to make a lasting impact on the future of mechanical contracting in Canada.

As Program Manager, you’ll oversee the design, delivery, and growth of high-impact programming that supports the professional development of our members, fosters student involvement in the trades, and advances diversity and inclusion across the industry. This role requires strategic thinking, strong project management skills, and the ability to build meaningful partnerships both inside and outside the organization.

You will report directly to the CEO and act as a key organizational representative to educational institutions, industry partners, students, and community stakeholders.

**Key Areas of Responsibility**

- Lead the development and implementation of continuing education programs, industry training, and webinars for members.
- Identify learning needs and trends in the sector; design programming that aligns with workforce and business development goals.
- Oversee logistics, promotion, participant engagement, and post-program evaluation.
- Drive participation and ensure continuous improvement based on member feedback and analytics.
- Act as staff liaison to the Future Leaders Advisory Council.
- Student Chapter Program_
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for growing student chapters at colleges and universities across Canada.
- Build relationships with academic institutions, faculty advisors, and student leaders to foster long-term engagement.
- Design programming and events that inspire students to pursue careers in mechanical contracting.
- Organize student competitions, mentorship opportunities, and campus outreach initiatives.
- Act as the main liaison between chapters and the national office; track outcomes and provide guidance on best practices.
- Women in Contracting Program_
- Champion the advancement of women in mechanical contracting through mentorship, leadership development, and advocacy.
- Design and manage networking events, training workshops, and national campaigns that elevate women’s voices and visibility in the industry.
- Collaborate with external partners to co-develop inclusive initiatives and promote best practices across the trades.
- Monitor trends and metrics related to women in trades and use data to inform future programming.
- Strategic Program Oversight_
- Oversee the planning, budgeting, execution, and performance monitoring of all assigned programs.
- Prepare reports, strategic updates, and presentations for the executive team and board of directors.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders including members, academic partners, and industry organizations.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, funding, and partnerships that elevate program impact.

**What you Need to Succeed**
- Qualifications & Experience_
- Prior experience in program or project management, preferably in association, education, or industry-focused environments.
- Demonstrated success leading multi-stakeholder programs from concept to execution.
- Strong skills in relationship-building, facilitation, and community engagement.
- Knowledge of post-secondary systems and workforce development practices is a strong asset.
- Proven commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Post-secondary education and French language proficiency would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the mechanical contracting or construction industry is a bonus but not required.
