In Nova Scotia, we have contributed to tons of projects, literally Our expertise spans a wide range of sectors, including institutional, industrial, civil engineering, commercial, and residential. **About the Role - Your main responsibilities will include**: - Obtain and review complete tender documents to ensure accurate takeoff preparation; - Perform precise rebar takeoffs and develop detailed, competitive estimates for pricing; - Provide budget quantities and practical recommendations to support customer project proposals; - Maintain positive and collaborative communication with the detailing department to ensure alignment; - Participate actively in pre-tender award meetings, management meetings, and staff meetings; - Analyze tender documents including specifications, drawings, and addendums to identify project requirements; - Prepare reliable estimates of cast-in-place concrete reinforcement quantities; - Review and evaluate tenders, advising the sales team on tendering procedures and best practices; - Liaise with customers and consultants to clarify project details and ensure estimate accuracy; - Prepare comprehensive quantity and complexity statements as required; - Coordinate closely with detailing and project management teams throughout project execution. **Qualifications** - College diploma in civil engineering, estimating or drafting; - 3 to 5 years of estimating experience in construction; - 2 to 3 years of experience estimating rebar projects; - Ability to work on mutiple projects at the same time; - Autonomy, creative, flexible; - High level of organization; - Very good communication skills; **What we offer**: - Full insurance coverage (health, dental, and vision) from day one; - Group RRSP with employer contribution (4,5%); - Annual wage increases based on both company and individual performance and annual bonus program; - Telemedicine program and employee assistance program from day one; - Company Wellness Plan Reimbursement: $600 annually for physical activities to promote health and wellness; - Training offered & advancement opportunities; - Paid vacation and 5 paid personal days for christmas time; - 5 paid sick days and statutory holidays; - Years of service recognition program, - Corporate discounts (ski resorts, golf, car rentals, furniture stores, etc.) **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Additional pay: - Bonus pay **Benefits**: - Dental care - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: - Dartmouth, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): - Do you have experience with rebar? **Experience**: - Construction estimating: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person
