We are currently seeking a Regional Business Development Manager to join the team in our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia team. This is a remote position. The primary role of the Regional Business Development Manager is to oversee the sales efforts and responsibilities in the Maritimes (NS, NB, NFL). Duties & Responsibilities: Planning sales strategies for increasing sales, ensuring they are achieving best results and have access to appropriate support. Building and maintaining relationships with clients, maintaining customer satisfaction at high levels Conducting market research related to client needs and presenting new sales techniques and strategies. Ensuring sales targets are hit in each quarter. Research bid opportunities online (e.g., Merx, RAQS, Biddingo, etc) to ensure that Mansteel Rebar is on top of all current tenders in the specific region. Read, interpret, and understand tender specifications to identify important and strategic projects. Ensure that the master sheet is complete and updated for every tender under their charge. Generate project pricing sheet for custom-tailored quotes and budgets, prepare bid documents and bid packages as needed. Request tender extensions, as required, as well as further information needed to help the estimating team properly estimate the job. Respond to inquiries from clients and suppliers. Participate in sales planning meetings. Implementation of the sales strategy in their specific region in coordination with management. Monitor and meet (or exceed) the agreed budget and sales targets. Preparation of customer analysis in the employee's area and development of appropriate measures. Continuous market and competitor observation while providing appropriate information to management. Customer visits, Lunch and Learns, present at industry events to enhance position of company as market leader. Attend and participate in trade shows. Proactively contribute to secure and win projects in collaboration with all partners. Independent planning of sales activities in their specific region. Handling of customer complaint and/or claim in their specific region. Actively collaborate during fairs, events, within industry associations. Regular and efficient reporting. Requirements: 10+ years of professional sales experience working in the construction industry. Superior communication skills, both written and oral, with experience in relationship management. Positive attitude with a creative, problem-solving mindset. Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing (French is an asset). Thinking and handling with focus on efficiency and costs. Very strong technical skills and expertise, as well as strong comprehension of commercial and financial aspects. Sound computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel). Organized, strong work ethic and interpersonal skills, good attention to detail. Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proven ability to work independently and in a co-operative team environment. Intuitive and flexibility with time and job duties. Ability to work well under pressure, with a focus on deadlines. Must be able to communicate effectively with management, staff, and outside parties. Project management experience (preferred). Customer and competition analysis skills, and development of appropriate strategies and measures. Regional business development, forecasting and planning. Consultative selling, analytical thinking, pioneer spirit. Assertiveness and excellent presentation skills. Negotiation skills and ability to secure contracts in a context where relationship management between several participants is crucial the growth of the company. Always willing and interested in learning new skills. Ability to read and understand structural and architectural drawings.
