Industrial Sales Representative

**COMPANY DESCRIPTION**
Flex-Pression Ltd. is a manufacturer of flexible metal hose and expansion joints. Our products and services are used in a wide variety of industries including steel and other commodity production, mining, shipping, chemical processing and anywhere necessitating media transfer where temperature and pressure are factors. All of our products are T.I.G. welded and tested on site in accordance with industry standards for metal hose and expansion joint manufacturers.
**MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain and grow account base for existing accounts and generate new accounts
- Responsible for new business development via prospecting and closing sales
- Develop strong working relationships with suppliers to further satisfy our customer needs
- Review project drawing/blueprints and generate quotes based on the requirements of each job
- Assist customers by providing solutions and information on products as requested.
- Track job quoted to customers and work with inside sales team to intiate follow up discussions
- Provide on-site technical support
- Offer training & insight on company products/services via presentations
- Manage client relationships/expectations
- Develop and maintain contacts at all levels in order to secure the fulfilment of customer requirements
- 80/20: Organisational expectations regarding Customer face time 80%, time allocated to scheduling, training, marketing and other functions = 20%
The following metrics will be monitored monthly/quarterly to ensure sustained results:
- Sales growth rate
- Percentage of targets realized
- Average sale price
- Average sales/rep
- Conversion rates (and variants)
- Conversion time
- Sales by contact method
- Sales by region or location
- Pipeline value
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or education in a similar field, is a strong asset
- Ability to travel required within the sales territory assigned
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good time management, organization skills
- Ability to grasp multiple product lines and technologies
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to deal with conflict and meet deadlines
- Prior field sales an asset
- Industrial sales experience preferred
- HVAC knowledge and understanding preferred
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
