1931 Gallery Bistro (1931) is a passionate food services provider company supporting the Vancouver Art Gallery Association (Gallery) by providing the best in culinary services to the Gallery’s patrons, members and community at large. The Gallery’s mission is that through art, we create new paths to connect, inspire and empower growing audiences towards a broader understanding of the past, involvement in the present and shaping of the future. 1931’s mission is aligned - to provide excellence in the culinary experience that celebrates the Gallery’s programming, with a strong sense of place and environment here in British Columbia.

That is why we are called 1931 Bistro. We took the name 1931 Bistro to acknowledge the founding legacy of the Gallery and use that deep Vancouver, British Columbian history to create a contemporary bistro experience that mirrors our community of today. Organic, sustainable, respectful and innovative. 1

**Location**

We are located at the Vancouver Art Gallery, 750 Hornby Street, Vancouver BC, V6Z 2H7. We can be accessed through the Vancouver Art Gallery on Hornby or through the stairs off Howe and Robson.

**We are currently hiring Line Cooks to help support our busy summer season with and new menu.**

Weekend + Day Availability required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Weekend + Day Availability required.
- Consistent high quality of food and bill times.
- Prep and Setup station for service
- Work on line during lunch service.
- Creating positive and long-lasting relationships with partners and guests.
- Maintaining a timeless and safe environment.

**Compensation**:

- $18-22/hour + tips
- Free Staff meal
- 30-minute paid break for every shift of 5 hours and more

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
