The Head of Individual Giving is responsible for strengthening donor relationships and revenue within the mid-level giving range, (established annually). A primary focus of this role is growing and stewarding the Artist Circle and Patron Circle Programs, the Gallery’s largest annual giving circles. Artist and Patron Circle members are deeply engaged supporters who connect with the Gallery through curator-led tours, in-depth looks at the permanent collection, studio and collection visits and other exclusive experiences that foster meaningful involvement.

What You Will Do

The Head of Individual Giving develops and implements strategies to welcome new supporters, renew and deepen existing relationships and inspire continued commitment to the Gallery’s mission. This role manages a portfolio of 100+ donors and prospects, provides leadership in stewardship and serves as a bridge between annual and major giving by identifying and preparing mid-level donors for future major or legacy giving opportunities.

As a senior member of the Development team, the Head of Individual Giving plays a key role in inspiring and sustaining individual support for the Gallery. They are responsible for achieving annual fundraising goals, modeling best practices in donor engagement and contributing to the Gallery’s overall fundraising strategy and culture of philanthropy.

What You Bring to the Role

As the Head of Individual Giving, you hold a post-secondary degree in a related field, and at least four (4) or more progressive years of fundraising experience, with demonstrated success in annual, mid-level or major giving. You also have:

- Demonstrated ability to cultivate, solicit and steward individual donors in the $1,500-$25,000 range
- Strong relationship building skills and strategic planning skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Excellent writing skills for proposals, stewardship reports and donor correspondence
- Experience organizing donor events and engagement programs
- Familiarity with fundraising CRMs such as Raiser’s Edge and proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated capacity to manage deadlines and fundraising goals with professionalism and poise
- Knowledge of and appreciation of the visual arts is considered a strong asset
- Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, or Punjabi is an asset

Compensation and Work Environment

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (Must be flexible to attend after hours events)

**Salary**: $90,000 - $110,000 per year

This is an excluded (non-unionized), regular full-time role. The compensation package is commensurate with qualifications, experience and ability. This is an in-office position at the Gallery’s downtown Vancouver location with some flexibility to work remotely.
