**The Opportunity**:
We are currently seeking a **Safety Supervisor** **to join our** Environment/Health/Safety/Sustainability** at Totten Mine in** Sudbury, Ontario.** This is a permanent position.

Additionally, in this position you will:

- Work Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shift.
- Carry out tasks and audits assigned by the Manager of Health, Safety, and Risk (or designate).
- Monitor/audit site safety systems reporting findings to Plant line management and the Manager of Health, Safety, and Risk (or designate).
- Report safety statistics to line management at plant safety meetings.
- Develop, execute, and document personal safety plans.
- Report incidents/accidents to the Ministry of Labour as prescribed by OHSA.
- Accompany the Ministry of Labour inspector while they are on site.
- Assist line management in the safety investigation process when required.
- Provide safety information to line management.
- Participate on external committees and associations as required.
- Be a safety resource for all employees at the individual plants.
- The role holder must coach, mentor, and give guidance to all line management regarding their safety activities and requirements at the individual plants.
- Be able to support and audit all safety systems at the individual plants.
- Make sure that all laws, regulations, and policies regarding safety are being followed at all individual plants.

**About You**

**Education**:

- Community College education is required.
- CRSP certification is preferred.

**Experience**:

- 5 years of Underground Mining Operational Experience is a minimum requirement.
- Underground supervisor experience is preferred.

**Skills**:

- Computer skills.
- Health & Safety practices.
- Legislative requirements.
- Presentation skills.
- Knowledge of a professional discipline or related process and people issues.
- Have a sound understanding of and be capable in several activities which involve a variety of practices and precedents.
