**Job Overview**
The Assistant Principal plays a crucial role in supporting the Principal in the overall management of the school. This position involves assisting in the development and implementation of educational programs, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment, and fostering a positive school culture. The Assistant Principal will work closely with teachers, staff, students, and parents to promote academic excellence and student well-being.

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the Director to develop and implement school policies and procedures.
- Support teachers in curriculum development and instructional strategies to enhance student learning.
- Monitor student progress and implement interventions as needed to support academic achievement.
- Lead professional development initiatives for staff to promote continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive school climate by promoting respect, inclusivity, and engagement among students and staff.
- Manage disciplinary actions in accordance with school policies while promoting restorative practices.
- Communicate effectively with parents, community members, and stakeholders regarding school initiatives and student progress.
- Ontario College of Teachers Principal's Qualification, Part 1
- experience with student success supporting at-risk learners
- experience with continuing education and/or as an administrator in a busy educational office setting in a public board

This role is essential for fostering an environment that prioritizes academic success while nurturing the social-emotional development of all students. OVS has a 12-month school calendar. This role offers 3 weeks paid vacation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $120,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
