We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team at our dual hotel property Fourpoints & Elements in West Edmonton If you are a person who likes working with your hands, enjoys problem-solving, and values a job that keeps you thinking and moving, this is the perfect job for you **Job Description**: As the Maintenance Manager, you have the authority to exceed guest expectations through the mentorship of your people; by creating "picture-perfect" guest experiences throughout the hotel. Your role is crucial because you are pivotal in the guest's first impression of the hotel. From facilitating the day-to-day maintenance of the property to collaborating with Corporate Office on major repairs, the guest's first impression of our property is a powerful and lasting one. Key Focuses Mentors team to create "picture-perfect" guest experiences to ensure optimal first impressions. Prevents minor maintenance issues from becoming major issues by investigating all maintenance requests. Provides direct reports with the resources, training, direction, coaching, and feedback required for their continuous development. Creates schedules that meet peak demand periods while delivering budgeted labour costs. Manages expense lines within budgeted parameters. Executes assigned deliverables in a manner that requires little or no follow-up; both in terms of timeliness, scope, and quality. Supports recruitments; maintains a work environment and processes that attracts and retains quality employees. Experience/Passions/Education Requires advanced understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry concepts. Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar role preferably in a hospitality or hotel environment. Previous certification or hotel maintenance is an asset. Ability to compute and manipulate mathematical calculations. Experience in a leadership role is an asset. Working Conditions This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, that requires continuous physical movement and the ability to manage multiple sequences and demands. This position will require periods of independent work and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. P
