As a Police Information Check Representative, you will provide front-line customer service and information to internal and external applicants requiring a Police Information Check, Record Suspension or Vulnerable Sector fingerprint processing. Primary duties include:
- Handle cash including financial balancing, reconciliation and reporting on a daily and monthly basis.
- Collect fingerprints for Vulnerable Sector Searches (VSS) using Livescan technology and/or hardcopy inked fingerprinting techniques; ensure proper processes are followed, including verification of applicant information.
- Provide general administrative support for the Police Information Check Unit (PICU) as required.
**Qualifications**
***A High School diploma or equivalency (e.g., GED) and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Previous customer service experience in a high volume, front counter environment.
A minimum of 35 WPM typing speed and a beginner skill level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
Experience with cash handling, Point-of-Sale, financial balancing, reconciliation and reporting is also required.
Prior experience using Livescan and/or hardcopy inked fingerprinting techniques will be considered an asset.
Success in this position requires excellent communication skills, efficiency and thoroughness, service orientation, stress tolerance and team building and teamwork. The ability to build effective relationships while maintaining a focus on results
- **Pre-employment Requirements**An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
