We are looking for a
**Financial Reporting Analyst** to join our Finance and Accounting Team Working closely with the Controller and Accounting Manager, the
**Financial Reporting Analyst **will help maintain all accounting records, information systems, and financial processes related to Sifton Properties Limited and all of its outside interests.

About the Role:

- Assist with accurate and prompt completion of all accounting records and financial reports including the internal monthly, consolidated quarterly, and complete year-end financial statements for Sifton Properties Limited and all of its outside interests.
- Maintain and enhance financial processes and internal controls related to all areas of finance and accounting within Sifton Properties Limited.
- Obtain, update and/or prepare relevant accounting process and control documentation (including flow charts and/or narratives).
- Support continuous process improvement to the existing accounting processes, procedures, and software, as well as making recommendations for enhancements and upgrades.
- Assist with maintenance of the accounting system, development of accurate and meaningful reporting for various users across the business, and be able to facilitate training for new system users across the business.
- Participate in special projects or Company initiatives which impact the organization as a whole. This includes liaising between the Accounting Department, project managers, and/or members of other departments while providing a financial/accounting perspective to the ongoing project or initiative.

Experience & Qualifications:

- 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting, reporting, and/or assurance role. Public accounting experience considered an asset.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- Completion of the CPA accounting designation (or equivalent) preferred.
- Exposure to a multi-system environment including all aspects of account analysis, reconciliation, financial statement preparation and review, and internal controls.
- Strong understanding of information systems, financial process development, and internal controls.
- Advanced excel skills and extensive accounting software knowledge. Experience with NetSuite considered an asset.
- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills, with an ability to tailor approach to various members of the business from front line operations all the way up to senior management and executives.
- Ability to remain current and abreast of changes within the accounting profession.
