A research assistant position is available. Research projects in the laboratory aim at defining the molecular mechanisms underlying circadian clocks and their links with physiology. This research is crucial to better understand circadian rhythms, and the numerous health issues that can arise following their dysregulation (such as in shift workers): sleep and mood disorders, cancer, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular problems...

General management of the laboratory, training of students, conducting research projects

At the time of taking up the position:
M.Sc. in basic biological sciences (e.g. Neuroscience, Immunology, Biochemistry,...), or

B.Sc. in basic biological sciences (e.g. Neuroscience, Immunology, Biochemistry,...) plus at least a few years of relevant laboratory experience (see required skills and abilities, below).

Note that the tasks include work with mice and with biohazardous material.

Research laboratory experience, preferably in molecular neuroscience or immunology

Experience in working with mice

Excellent knowledge of English required; being bilingual (English/French) is an asset

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
