Supervise and coordinate the operation of bulk chemical receiving, shipping, and blending
Ensure equipment is maintained and cleaned as per preventive maintenance program
Ensure that ALL safety procedures are followed at all time
This position is an extremely critical position.
Develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operations of the bulk blending program to meet schedule requirements and contribute to the continuous improvement in Key Performance Indicators; (KPI).
Provide support to the production department to ensure that products are available on time, completed and that all timelines have been met.
Develop procedures to ensure the efficient utilization of Tank Farm and chemical equipment including a maintenance and repair program to ensure that all equipment is in good working condition. Manage the inventory control process by developing and monitoring inventory levels of bulk material to maintain accurate physical and system inventory.
Monitor the usage of consumption of raw materials, inventory stock and advise production management and or purchasing for re-ordering.
Review and update Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
Develop KPI’s for system performance
Oversees the safe and efficient blending, storage, and distribution of batched products.
Maintains quality standards, ISO 9001 requirements, and environmental compliance for the coolant’s facility.
Closely monitors the blending process to ensure coolants are blended to meet quality standards.
Coordinate all daily/weekly production schedules to ensure bulk delivery requirements are delivered on
Conduct performance reviews and implement training and development programs for batching staff.
Direct established safety programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment, and property in compliance with all corporate and legislated policies and procedures.
Ensure that facilities, equipment, and personnel practices are in conformance with applicable regulations and Company Policies.
Supports the development and implementation of Health and Safety policies that comply with government regulations and that also assure a safe work environment for all employees and visitors.
Other duties as required and assigned by management
College Diploma in a Chemical Technicial Program or equivalent training and experience
Minimum 5 years supervisory and blending/formulation experience in a chemical manufacturing environment or in a similar environment or industry
Excellent communication skills in English, written/verbal
Capable of managing Hourly staff in a 24 hour shift rotation environment
Performance appraisal management

High attention to detail and persistence in resolving issues and discrepancies
In depth knowledge of safety procedures relating to bulk receiving of tankers and TDG regulations
Good knowledge of C-TPAT requirements and best practices
Good knowledge of environment, health and safety regulations for the workplace and Emergency Response company procedures
Practical knowledge of pumps, mixers and auxiliary equipment
Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
Strong knowledge of working with touch screens and PLC’s.
