Children's Fitness and Recreation Coordinator

BOMB Fitness is hiring for a program coordinator and location supervisor of our after school program. Responsible for the planning, coordination and supervision of children’s programming for ages 4-10; including after school programs, camps, and specialty programming at our 2 east end locations.
- Supervise, train, and develop part time staff, updating and maintaining written procedures;
- Maintain appropriate staffing for all activities and arrange specialty instructors;
- Communicate with parents/guardians and assist with registrations;
- Preparing calendar of events, posters, and information flyers;
- Grow the program with local community reach out and other marketing efforts.
- Maintaining inventory of program supplies;
- Respond to inquiries from program participants, parents/guardians, and the general public and referring to appropriate staff;
- Assist with Kindergarten nutrition and fitness skills staffing; and
- Assist admin staff in day-to-day duties.
- Assist with a child-minding duties during adult programming.
**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline (such as Recreation and Leisure, Fitness and Health Promotion, etc)
- Experience in children’s fitness or recreation programming and/or related equivalent experience.
- Experience in a supervisory role in related field.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- Class “G” Driver’s Licence in good standing
- Strong working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification.
Desired Courses: HIGH FIVE® (PHCD, Sport), Fundamental Movement Skills, Run-Jump-Throw-Wheel.
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
