Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, as a Buyer, you will be responsible for executing the material supply plan to achieve 100% build in station target for suppliers in a timely manner. You will maintain supplier communications to ensure they have accurate information to support the business plan.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Completes transactions in Oracle accurately to maintain data integrity and ensures that performance targets are met.
- Develops and sustains a professional relationship with suppliers and customers.
- Resolves supply related issues with the supplier and escalates concerns on parts that will not meet need date.
- Reports status of parts delivery in Oracle to support the Leads at the daily parts meeting and helps set plant priorities.
- Identifies suppliers that are underperforming and works with the Lead to have suppliers create improvement plans.
- Submits engineering documentation to suppliers on a timely basis and supports first article documentation requirements.
- Supports traffic personnel in securing required documentation for secure shipment of goods to our facilities.
- Works with staff in other departments to complete tasks, resolve problems and support process improvements.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:

- Three years of Purchasing or Planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of MRP systems and inventory planning, MS Office, Oracle, and Excel skills are required.
- Innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve complaints.
- Motivated self-starter with high level of initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal skills combined with a professional attitude to provide and maintain excellent customer service.
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- University or college graduate in Supply Management would be considered an asset.
