**WHO WE ARE**

Founded in 2009, InFocus Film School is an independent film school built on the foundation of accelerated hands-on education in cinematic arts. Operating out of our downtown Vancouver campuses, we prepare our students for the industry through project-based classes in a hands-on environment. Nearly 90% of our 3D Animation Grads find work within only a few months of graduation.

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**

We are seeking a part-time 3D Animator Instructor to join the 3D Animation Program. You must be punctual, organized, an excellent problem solver and critical thinker, and must enjoy working with people. Our instructors are passionate, self-motivated individuals driven by the desire to see our students succeed.

**TIME COMMITMENT**

Our rigorous, one-year program consists of four terms. You will teach twice a week per term. This is a part-time position between 8:30AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday. You will be consulted about the class schedule 2 weeks in advance.

**COMPENSATION**

$55/hour for teaching. Payment is made once a month via check, which can be mailed to you or picked up at our Vancouver campus.

**YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**

The instructor will teach a cohort of 10 to 15 adult students, most of whom have no 3D animation experience.

Your duties include:

- Teaching on-campus classes in 3 hour blocks
- Overseeing student work and grading assignments based on the existing curriculum
- Collaborating with the Head of Department and faculty on syllabus development and coordination of courses
- Managing a gradebook using the Moodle LMS, logging student attendance, and responding to student questions in a timely manner
- Supporting student projects

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree plus a minimum three years of industry experience as a 3D Animator OR a minimum 6 years of industry experience as 3D Animator.
- Available to teach on-site: Downtown Vancouver, BC, Canada.
- Capable of running a class of 10-20 students.
- A portfolio/demo reel demonstrating related professional works.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $55.00 per hour
