The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry is the largest Faculty on campus and employs over 2,000 part-time and full-time faculty and over 1,000 staff. **Responsibilities**: The Project Manager, Accreditation and Special Projects takes a leadership role in the planning, administration, and operational support of the accreditation process and special projects for the Undergraduate and Post-Graduate (PGE) Dental programs. The role facilitates data development and collection, continuous improvement processes, provides oversight for the day-to-day activities of accreditation and special projects, and communication of accreditation and project information and data. The Project Manager leads the effective implementation of Accreditation and special projects, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed of progress and that the outcomes are achieved within the timeline required prior to the accreditation visit, and in compliance with Accreditation guidelines. The role will manage the development of project plans, support the design, implementation and evaluation of the project components, track timelines and milestone completion for the accreditation process and other dental projects, and contribute to the collection, analysis and dissemination of results. The position will also have a key role in supporting faculty and other staff through the Accreditation process and other dental projects ensuring the strategic mission and goals of the department and the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry are met. In doing so, the role will offer expertise in all aspects of projects, will prepare project status reports for stakeholders, develop reports in compliance with Accreditation guidelines, and ensure the effective alignment of resources to best support the attainment of the objectives. **Qualifications**: - Education: - Bachelor’s Degree - Project Management Professional Certification completed or in progress - Experience: - 3 years’ experience with project management, quality management processes, and with professional accreditation processes and reporting - Experience working in a Dental Education or Higher Education environment supporting leaders, faculty and staff is preferred - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - In-depth knowledge of group facilitation techniques including solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills - Knowledge of quality management processes, professional accreditation standards and processes in professional schools and with regulations and guidelines governing accreditation in an academic environment - Knowledge of Western and Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry policies and procedures would be an asset - Familiarity with best practices for reviewing and writing reports and with techniques for updating, managing and extracting data from a database - Project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously from conception to completion within tightly prescribed timelines - Ability to collaborate across internal and external boundaries to meet common objectives, improve outcomes and support work beyond one's own unit - Ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets - Influential interpersonal skills that build positive and strong relationships at all levels of the organization - Communication skills with the ability to converse with, write reports for, and deliver presentations to all levels of the organization - Ability to provide solutions and ideas for improvement by using imaginative approaches where constructive thinking and innovation are required - Ability to work within a flexible schedule to accommodate the University’s events and activities
