**Job Summary**:
The **Coating Operator**in **Nisku, Alberta**will be responsible for the internal coating of used tubulars and related goods. Work is physical in nature and includes tasks such as: cleaning, blasting, and coating pipe, operating an overhead crane and related equipment.

**Essential Job Responsibilities**:

- Pipe handling
- Mixing/adding coating to system
- Overhead crane operation
- Equipment operation/set-up/adjustment
- Follow basic safety rules
- Report any accidents, incidents, near misses or hazards in the workplace
- Housekeeping
- Accountable to immediate supervisor to complete assigned job tasks in a safe manner
- Accountable for the safety of themselves and fellow co-workers
- Accountable for ensuring trainees are complying with Safe Work requirements
- Authority to correct improper work habits of trainees
- Authority to stop assigned work activities if unsafe conditions exist

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Partial high school education with the ability to read, write and speak a minimum amount of English to perform job duties
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service
- Standard First Aid and H2S Alive training preferred

**HSE Requirements**:

- Work is performed in a shop environment. Possibility to be exposed to dust, fumes or gases and changes of temperature/humidity.
- Physical requirements: squatting, bending, reaching, twisting, lifting up to 23 kilograms, walking on rough ground, and working near moving equipment.
- Required to at all times wear proper protective clothing and equipment and perform duties in a safe manner.
