Job Summary:Coating Operators, in Nisku, Alberta, will be responsible for the internal coating of used tubulars and related goods. Work is physical in nature and includes tasks such as: cleaning, blasting, and coating pipe, operating an overhead crane and related equipment. Essential Job Responsibilities: Pipe handling Thread spray application Mixing/adding coating to system Overhead crane operation Equipment operation/set-up/adjustment Follow basic safety rules Report any accidents, incidents, near misses or hazards in the workplace Housekeeping Accountable to immediate supervisor to complete assigned job tasks in a safe manner Accountable for the safety of themselves and fellow co-workers Accountable for ensuring trainees are complying with Safe Work requirements Authority to correct improper work habits of trainees Authority to stop assigned work activities if unsafe conditions exist Qualification Requirements High school education with the ability to read, write and speak a minimum amount of English to perform job duties Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service Standard First Aid and H2S Alive training preferred HSE Requirements: Work is performed in a shop environment. Possibility to be exposed to dust, fumes or gases and changes of temperature/humidity. Physical requirements: squatting, bending, reaching, twisting, lifting up to 23 kilograms, walking on rough ground, and working near moving equipment. Required to at all times wear proper protective clothing and equipment and perform duties in a safe manner.
