Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Optometric Assistant to join our team. As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various administrative tasks. **Responsibilities**:

- Greet patients and provide excellent customer service at the front desk
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Assist with electronic medical records (EMR) management
- Perform preliminary testing and measurements for patients
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
- Provide support to the optometrist during eye exams
- Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
- Assist with frame selection and sales in the optical department
- Maintain inventory of eyewear and contact lenses
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the office space

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working at the front desk in a medical office or retail sales environment is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as ODOP, is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to optometry is beneficial
- Experience working with pediatric and or senior patients is desirable

**Skills**:

- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
