Meinhardt Fine Foods has an opening for the Gift Box Warehouse Lead hand. The Gift Box Warehouse Lead Hand oversees all aspects of the gift box warehouse operations, including production, inventory, ordering, and staff supervision. This role ensures timely fulfillment of orders, maintains product quality, coordinates logistics, and supports seasonal planning—particularly for large-scale events such as Christmas and Save-On-Foods gift basket projects.

**Key Responsibilities:Operations & Fulfillment**
- Manage daily fulfillment of online and phone gift box orders.
- Coordinate delivery logistics using Van-Whole or Novex.
- Assemble, palletize, and ship gift box orders
- Maintain updated gift box production menus and track inventory levels.

**Inventory & Ordering**
- Conduct regular inventory checks; monitor product shelf life and transfer short-dated items to South Granville Meinhardt Store.
- Order products from suppliers, ensuring lead times and shelf life requirements are met.
- Receive shipments, verify against invoices, check product condition, and organize stock.
- Resolve issues with suppliers regarding incorrect invoices or damaged goods.
- Order wrapping materials and other supplies from approved vendors.
- Conduct storewide inventory audits in March and August, report to head office.

**Staff Management**
- Hire, onboard, and train seasonal and full-time warehouse staff.
- Plan and coordinate work schedules for production workers.
- Supervise staff during high-volume periods (e.g., Christmas)
- Register new hires with Avanti time clock and submit all required documentation to HR.

**Seasonal Planning - Christmas Gift Boxes**
- Source and evaluate supplier catalogs; plan gift box content based on size, price, and supplier terms.
- Coordinate with the photographer for catalog images.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to develop and finalize catalogs and pricing.
- Manage stock-up of crates and other packaging materials.
- Prepare cost/retail pricing sheets and production menus.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of experience in warehouse, production, or logistics coordination.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills—written and verbal.
- Ability to lift and move boxes/pallets and perform physical warehouse duties as needed.

**Working Conditions**:

- Warehouse environment with periods of high seasonal activity (Oct-Dec).
- Some weekend or overtime work may be required during peak times.
- Physical work including lifting, packing, and moving stock.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.50-$20.71 per hour

Schedule:

- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
