**Overview**
Edmonton Electric is a electrical contracting company with projects in and around the Edmonton area.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable/Admin Clerk to join our team. and contribute to the on-going success of the company.

**Duties**
- Process invoices and ensure proper documentation for all accounts payable transactions.
- Verify accuracy of invoices against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare payment batches, EFT and cheques, for approval, ensuring timely payments to vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions in the accounting system.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Collaborate with vendors and other departments, to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to vendor payments.
- Analyze account statements and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Filing, recording and tracking of material packages.
- Phone coverage when required.
- Assist with Safety program and on boarding of unionize workers.
- Cross training on accounts receivable invoicing and payroll for vacation coverage.

**Skills**
- Proficiency in accounting software programs.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and principles.
- Ability to analyze financial data and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management.
- Demonstrates good judgement and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
- Experience with accounts receivable and payroll processes is a plus but not required.

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
