Key Responsibilities:

- Install, repair, and replace asphalt shingle, metal, and single-ply roofing systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Work on sloped and flat roofs, including roofs with solar panel systems, performing maintenance and repairs around existing installations without damaging equipment.

Install built-up roofing systems using asphalt-saturated felts, hot asphalt, gravel, or modified asphaltic membranes.
- Install sheet metal flashings, waterproof membranes, and metal roofing panels using hand and power tools.
- Read and interpret roof plans, estimate material needs, and calculate measurements for quoting and ordering supplies.
- Set up and dismantle scaffolding and ladders to ensure safe roof access and compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere to Nova Scotia building codes and OHS regulations, maintaining a clean and safe job site at all times.
- Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.

**Education**:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
