We are **seeking Independent Courier Owner Operators to deliver medium to large sized parcel freight within the rural Saskatoon marketplace in their own cargo van**. This is an exciting and lucrative venture for drivers that have good flexibility and a reliable vehicle.

Using pre-determined routing, Independent Courier Drivers will deliver packages of assorted dimensions, weight and insured value each day. You will be servicing areas such as Outlook, Beechy and Eston.

Revenue is earned at a per package rate with a fuel surcharge. Revenue per package will increase with increased weight.

**Responsibilities**:

- Load, transport, & deliver items to residences or commercial businesses in a safe & timely manner.
- Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
- Adjust to varying levels of volume.
- Communicate with recipient on status of freight and coordinate special deliveries as needed.
- Communicate with administration regarding damaged, lost, or missing freight.
- Experience as a city delivery driver/messenger an asset.
- Experience using handheld devices for signature & delivery confirmations an asset.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have own, reliable cargo van with commercial 3rd party liability insurance.
- Valid Class 5 license.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Good SDR rating.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance
- Ability to walk, drive, and lift items for extended periods.
- Competence & knowledge of streets and driving in Saskatoon.
- Flexibility in delivery area and delivery schedule with highway driving.
- Criminal background check less than 2 months old.
- Able to read, write, and clearly communicate in English.

In person meetings will occur in our Saskatoon facility located at 3927 Brodsky Avenue, S7P 0C9. Driver and vehicle documents will be collected at time of meeting to confirm driving class, vehicle insurance, and safe driving history.

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
