The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Assistant II for a one-year contract who will be based at the Civic Campus. This is position is a temporary maternity leave coverage.

The individual will be responsible for patient recruitment, data collection, data entry, and ethics submissions for a multitude of ongoing clinical research trials under the general direction of Scientists, Research Coordinators, and the Research Program Manager. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who works well in a fast-paced team environment.

**Tasks include but are not limited to**:

- Data collection and data entry
- Screening, recruitment, enrolment, and follow-up of study participants
- Close communication with surgeons, principal investigators, and other members of the research team
- Research ethics board submissions
- Assistance with manuscript and abstract submissions
- Assistance with the grant submission process
- Liaising with various TOH departments, REB/contracts office, sponsors, and external collaborators.

**Basic Requirements**:

- 2 years of experience in a clinical research environment and a secondary diploma
- Evidence of training certification in Tri-Council Policy Statement-2 (TCPS-2) and the International Conference on Harmonization - Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP)
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Strong computer skills: MS Word, Outlook, and Excel

**Preferred Qualification**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Bilingual (English and French)
- Knowledge of orthopaedics
- Knowledge of and interest in biomechanics.

**Contract Details**:
This is a 1-year full time contract (maternity leave coverage).

**Salary**: Min: $24.929/hr. Max:$29.367/hr
