The Vision Research Centre located at the University of Ottawa Eye Institute (TOH - General campus) is looking for a part-time casual clinical research assistant. As a clinical research assistant, you will play a critical role in assisting with the conduct of ophthalmic clinical research studies.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Performing ophthalmic tests and measurements
- Assisting with recruiting patients, data collection, and analysis and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support the advancement of ophthalmic knowledge and treatments.

**Basic Requirements (Education/Experience)**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical research environment
- Evidence of training certification in Tri-Council Policy Statement -2 (TCPS-2) and the International Council on Harmonisation - Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP)
- Evidence Food and Drug Regulations, Division 5 training
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) credential
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Ophthalmic Medical Technology, Biology, Life Sciences)
- Knowledge of EPIC
- Knowledge of hospital organization and health care delivery system
- Proficiency in English and French (written and verbal)
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic procedures and proficient in the use of ophthalmic imaging and testing equipment, such as OCT, Pentacam, Ocular Aberrometers
- Familiarity with ophthalmic research protocols, regulatory guidelines, and ethical considerations

**Contract Details**:
This is a 6 months part-time contract with the possibility of renewal

**Salary**: Min:$24.929/hr - Max:$29.367/hr
