**Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to**:

- Screen patients, obtain consent and enroll participants into studies, coordinate follow-up appointments as necessary
- Track study compliance, update study logs and complete study forms
- Conduct telephone follow-ups
- Assist with data collection, data entry and data cleaning
- Help prepare reports and presentations
- Manage all aspects associated with the Ottawa Health Science Research Ethics Board (OHSN-REB), including completing and submitting annual renewals and amendments as required
- Facilitate set up of contracts and study agreements

**Basic Requirements (Education/Experience)**:

- A secondary diploma in health sciences or related field
- 2 years of previous experience working in a clinical research setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively as both part of an inter-disciplinary team and independently
- Evidence of training certification in Tri-Council Policy Statement -2 (TCPS-2) and the International Council on Harmonisation - Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP)
- Evidence of training in Food and Drug Regulations, Division 5, and/or Device Regulations, as applicable
- Superior organizational, analytical and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Strong communication skills and bedside manner
- Ability to set priorities and work in a dynamic environment
- Strong computer skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Endnote, EPIC, and REDCap
- Ability to set priorities and work independently with accuracy in a dynamic environment
- Flexibility to accommodate periodically demanding deadlines

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Clinical background
- Phlebotomy skills
- Bilingual
- Experience working on multi-center studies/trials
- Experience on either R, SAS or SPSS

**Contract Details**:
This is a 1-year full-time contract with the possibility of renewal.

**Salary**: Min: $24.682/hr - Max: $29.076/hr
